There are many famous events and attractions on the Costa Blanca, here are just a few:
Valencia has recently become the home of two very high profile events, The America's Cup and the Valencian Formula One Grand Prix.
The very first Grand prix took place on the 24th of August 2008 and resulted in Ferrari's Felipe Massa taking the win.
Spain's Fernando Alonso disappointingly failed to finish after his car was hit from behind on the opening lap which caused enough damage to make it unsafe for him to continue!
